This recipe is inspired by something I purchased outside of a pho restaurant during Pride in Seattle earlier this summer. It was very simple to prepare and cook, and would probably make for a great party snack.
Meat on a Stick
1 lb of sirloin tip steaks
1 tsp fresh minced garlic
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 lime, juiced
hoisin sauce and srirache sauce, both can be obtained in the asian section of your grocer or at a specialty market.
Begin by soaking bamboo skewers in warm water. Cut steaks into 1/4 inch thick strips. Place into a ziploc baggy with lime juice, garlic, and soy sauce. Allow to marinate for up to one hour. Skewer meat, but do not overload each skewer. Grill on medium-high heat for eight minutes, turning once. Garnish with hoisin and srirache sauce and serve.
